Privacy Policy
Overview
KeepCount is designed with privacy in mind. Your counting data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. This policy explains what data is collected by third-party services integrated into the app.
Data Storage
Local-First Design: All your counters, boards, and activity history are stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data is never uploaded to any server. Your counting data remains private and under your control.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device.
Subscription Management (RevenueCat)
KeepCount Pro subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat, a third-party service that manages in-app purchases. When you subscribe to KeepCount Pro, RevenueCat may collect:
- Anonymous device identifiers
- Purchase history and subscription status
- App usage data related to subscription features
RevenueCat does not have access to your counter data, board layouts, or activity history. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Advertising (Free Version)
The free version of KeepCount displays banners supplied by Guild Ads. Guild Ads may process an app-scoped identifier, device and app information, and ad delivery, impression and click events. It does not receive your board names, counter labels, counter values or activity history. See Guild Ads’ privacy policy.
Upgrading to KeepCount Pro hides promotional banners. Pro subscribers can choose to turn ads back on in Boards settings to support KeepCount.
Analytics
KeepCount uses Mostly Good Metrics for product analytics, including feature-use events, timestamps, an app-scoped anonymous identifier, app and device information, and limited properties such as the number of boards or counters and Pro status. See Mostly Good Metrics’ privacy policy.
Crash and Error Diagnostics (Sentry)
KeepCount uses Sentry to diagnose crashes, hangs, performance problems, purchase failures and database migration failures. Reports can contain stack traces, error domains and codes, static operation names, device characteristics, operating-system version and app version/build. The Sentry project is configured not to retain IP addresses with events.
Diagnostic reports do not attach screenshots, recordings, view hierarchies, board names, counter labels, counter values or activity history. Handled errors are stripped of descriptions and other private context. KeepCount does not identify you to Sentry. Diagnostics are used for app functionality, not advertising or cross-app tracking. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. RevenueCat, Guild Ads, Mostly Good Metrics and Sentry process the limited information described above to provide purchases, advertising, analytics and diagnostics. We do not operate a server that stores your boards or counter history.
Children's Privacy
KeepCount does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and contains no features that specifically target children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
