Duplication is available within your board allowance: three boards free, unlimited with Pro. A copy is a separate local board.

How to do it
Choose the source
Open Boards, choose Duplicate Existing Board, and select the board you want to reuse.
Choose what to keep
Use Copy Layout Only for a visual arrangement without labels, Copy Layout & Labels for the same named counters with fresh baseline values, or Copy Everything to keep current counts too.
Name and check the copy
The new board appears after the source and becomes current. Rename it through its title, then verify a count and its reset baseline before using it.
What the three copy options mean
- Copy Layout Only retains placement, colors, types, steps, and starting values. Labels are not copied; current values start at their baselines.
- Copy Layout & Labels also retains the counter labels. Current values start at the counter’s starting value, which can be a nonzero number.
- Copy Everything retains labels and current counts as well as the layout and settings. It does not turn the two boards into linked counters.
A second game without yesterday’s score
Suppose a game board has Alex at 17 and Sam at 24, with both starting values set to zero. Copy Layout & Labels makes a new board with Alex and Sam at zero, ready for the next game.
If an inventory board starts at 50, the same copy option starts its counter at 50. Fresh means the saved starting value, not always zero.
A copy is not an archive export
The duplicate has its own counters and activity, rather than a full copy of the original historical log. Changes in the source do not update the copy.
There is no shared collaboration or cloud backup implied by duplication. Keep both boards on the same device and avoid deleting the original if you still need its results.
Common questions
Why is the duplicate option missing?
Check whether you have reached the free board allowance. Pro is needed to create additional boards beyond that allowance.
