Board widgets are included free within your accessible board allowance. The full app requires iOS 18.2 or iPadOS 18.2 or later.

How to do it
Prepare a readable board
Create and label the counters in KeepCount. Use a simple layout with large tiles for the board you plan to display.
Add the widget
Touch and hold the Home Screen, enter its editing controls, and open the widget gallery. Find KeepCount, choose a Board widget size, and add it.
Select the board
Touch and hold the placed widget and choose Edit Widget. Set Board to the intended board, then leave editing.
Verify one tap
Tap a Count Up or Count Down tile and compare its value with the same board in KeepCount. For Enter Number, expect the app to open its number keypad.
Choose size before adding more counters
A small widget has less physical room than the app’s full-screen board. KeepCount omits interactive tiles that cannot meet its minimum tap size. If a counter is missing, try a larger widget or enlarge its tile in the board layout.
Short labels and a few large counters are easier to recognize. Small cells can show a number without a label; that does not mean the saved counter label was deleted.
The same board on the same device
The widget uses the app’s local board data. Changing a count in one surface changes that saved local counter, but the system manages when the widget redraws. Treat the value in the open app as the place to verify a result.
A widget is not a second shared board on another phone. Deleting or making its selected board inaccessible can leave the configuration without an available target. Edit Widget to select an accessible board.
Color and number-entry behavior
With tinted Home Screen widgets, KeepCount emphasizes numbers and separators instead of the full-color tile fills. This is a display mode; it does not change your board’s saved colors.
Enter Number needs a keypad in KeepCount. If you want a one-tap change while staying on the Home Screen, use Count Up or Count Down with an appropriate step.
Common questions
Why is a widget count slow to redraw?
iOS manages widget updates. Check the saved value in KeepCount, then review the widget’s selected board and size before assuming the count was lost.
